Registration Requirements for Students Transferring to Kalani High School
An out-of-district student must have a Geographic Exception Request on file at Kalani High School. Geographic exceptions are granted by the Kalani High School Principal/Vice Principal. GE application deadline is March 1.

From a Hawaii DOE School (For students moving into Kalani’s district)
- Proof of Residency (Utility bill with parents name and address in Kalani’s district)**
- Form 211 (Certificate of release, w/transcript and clearance form)
- Parent/Guardian Picture Identification
From a Hawaii Private School or Continental United States
- Proof of Residency (Utility bill w/parents name and address in Kalani’s district)**
- Immunization record
- Including date student received Varicella Vaccine or contracted Chickenpox
- Current Physical Exam - from a US licensed physician within 12 months prior to attendance at Kalani
- Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance - by a US licensed physician
- Certificate of release from previous school with Unofficial Transcript
- Clearance Form with withdrawing grades and/or report card if enrolling after the school year starts
- Copy of birth certificate
- Parent/Guardian Picture Identification
From Foreign Countries
- Proof of residency (Utility bill w/parents name and address in Kalani’s district)**
- Immunization record
- Including date student received Varicella Vaccine or contracted Chickenpox
- Current Physical Exam - from a US licensed physician within 12 months prior to attendance at Kalani
- Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance - by a US licensed physician
- Official Transcript w/school seal and an official English translation of the transcript (credits /grades earned for grade 9, 10, 11, 12)
- Passport
- Birth Certificate
- Parent/Guardian Picture Identification
♦ Students residing with guardians other than birth parent(s), legal documents that show proof of guardianship are required
♦ Parents and students who are temporarily residing with relatives must read and complete the “Verification of Residency Statement” provided by the Registrar's office at Kalani
♦ Current IEP or 504 plan, if applicable
** If a utility bill is not available, Kalani High School will accept 3 different bills showing name and address of parent/guardian/caregiver’s (i.e. credit card bills, cell phone bill, driver’s license, car registration, etc.)
